Alfred Bradley Jr

Alfred Eugene Bradley Jr., 80, of Westwood, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

He was born Feb. 15, 1932, in Boyd County, the son of the late Alfred and Edna Mae Stone Bradley.

He was a member of Summit Church of the Nazarene, where he was very active and served on various boards. He was retired from AKa��Steel with 42 years of service as a quality inspector, and was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Lawence, Teddy and Freddie Bradley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Opal Stollings Bradley of Westwood; two sons, Larry E. Bradley and wife Jo Ann of Russell and Gregory A. Bradley of Westwood; granddaughters Crystal Dawn Mayes of Ashland and Amanda Gail Kiser and husband Geff of Barboursville, W.Va.; great-grandchildren Clara Grace, Cannon Scott, Roman Bradley, Keely Grace and Anna Laurel; and brothers Robert, Donald, Eddie and Carl Bradley.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Tim Daniels and Harry Michael Snyder. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum in Ashland.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions in his memory to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
