Aubrey Kinder

Aubrey V. "Bud" Kinder, 83, of Summit, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, in King's Daughters Medical Center.

He was born June 5, 1930, in South Point, Ohio, a son of the late William Roy and Letha Jordan Kinder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Kinder in 1991; and brothers, Curtis, Elmo and Barney Kinder.

Bud was a member of Ceredo Church of Christ. He retired after 38 years of service from the blast furnace at Armco Steel and served honorably in the U. S.Navy during the Korean War.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Doris Blankenship Kinder of Summit; two sons, Greg Kinder and Chris Kinder and wife Shannon of Ashland; daughter, Gwen Corwin and husband Mike of Ashland; two sisters, Barbara Pennington and Kay Gibson of South Point, Ohio; four granddaughters, Sara Corwin, Haley Corwin, Courtney Kinder and Hadyn Kinder.

The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor David Roach and Pastor Troy Poff officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Kenova Post 93.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
