Barbara Lee Stanley Devaney - 1944-2009
Barbara Lee Stanley Devaney, 64, of Flatwoods, wife of Jerry Michael Devaney, died peacefully at her home, Saturday morning, with her family by her side, following an extended illness. Barbara was born Aug. 4, 1944, in Greenup County, a daughter of the late Raymond L. and Nellie E. Fannin Stanley. She was a member of the Hoods Creek Enterprise Baptist Church and was retired from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband include three sons, Jerry M. Devaney Jr., Mark Allen Devaney and wife Gloria, and Jeffery L. Devaney and wife Chris, all of Flatwoods; a daughter, Sandra Kay Prater and husband Eric of Ashland; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Denny Everett Stanley of Flatwoods; two sisters, Juanita Rose of Orlando, Fla., and Gertie Aldeen Braden of Worthington.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland by Bro. Bill Coburn and Bro. Steve Fraley. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
