Betty Marie Carroll, 71, of Ashland, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 2, 1941, in Pineville, the daughter of the late Dewey Osborne and the late Zella Maiden Osborne Honeycutt.
She was a former nursing assistant at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, attended Mount Olive Baptist Church and Coalton Freewill Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Junior Honeycutt; a sister, Lilly Gray; and a brother, Henry Honeycutt.
She is survived by her husband, Gary D. Carroll of Ashland; two sons, Gary "Eddie" Carroll and wife Mitzi of Ashland and Bobby D. Carroll and Donna Duncan of Rush; four sisters, Pauline Lyvers and husband Jim of Winter Haven, Fla., RoeEllen McMahon and husband Bob of Angola, Ind., Bobbie Jean Rider and husband Charlie of Corbin and Mary Lee Northcutt of Cynthiana; a brother, C.B. Honeycutt and wife Beverly of Corbin; six grandchildren, Brett J. Carroll, Jessica Fannin, Derek S. Carroll, Latasha M. Carroll, Heather B. Carroll and Tristan C. Carroll; two great-grandchildren, Carson B. Conley and Tegan Spillman; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland with Brother Edgel Whitt and Pastor Keith Crum officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum in Ashland.
The family will receive friends after noon Friday at the funeral home.
