Billie Gertrude Groce 82, of Ashland passed away Thursday, June 06, 2019 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland

Billie was born May 26, 1937 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late William Walter and Ida McGill Hamilton.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ezra Eugene Groce; a beloved son Michael Groce; two brothers Bob Mineer and Bruce “Shorty” Mineer; two sisters Anna Poynter and Judy Boling.

Above all Billie loved her family, traveling,… having a good time and helping others. She loved games including Scrabble and was known as the Bingo Queen was self-employed with White Swan Cleaners and a former caregiver and babysitter.

She leaves behind her loving son Gerald Thomas Groce (Janita) of Ashland; one sister Bonnie Boston of Louisville; one grandson who was her pride and joy Kyle Preston Groce of Ashland; along several special nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 7:00 Monday, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood with pastor Tom Melvin officiating. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 5-7.
