Carolyn Edwards

Carolyn Sue Edwards, 63, of Russell, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in the Care Center at Kentonpoint in Maysville.

She was born Dec. 24, 1949, in Hilliard, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charlie E. and Alma Lee Ison Edwards. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jane Rankin, and a brother-in-law, Mike Rankin.

Carolyn was a former cake decorator for Dave's Bakery in Flatwoods and also Daniels Bakery.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Kenneth) Meadows of Greenup; two brothers, Gary (Debbie) Edwards of Arkansas and Chris Edwards of Russell; four grandchildren, Kenneth Donald Meadows, William Meadows, Brittany (Andy) Bearfield and Victoria Meadows; and two nephews, William Darling and Scott (Becky) Darling.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel in Ashland by Dr. Tom Melvin.
