Cecil Beam

Joe Cecil Beam, 85, of Ashland, died Monday, Dec.1, 2014, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

He was born Dec. 22, 1928, in Ashland, the son of the late Millard and Lucy Howard Beam.


He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Helen Branham Beam.

He was retired from the National Mine Service Co. and a former employee of Patton Lumber Co. He was a member of Ashland Elks Lodge 350, a past exaled ruler at the Catlettsburg Elks lodge and a member of Ashland Moose Lodge 892.

Survivors include two brothers-in-law, Gary (Nancy) Branham of Ashland and Robert (Rose) Branham of Rush; two sisters-in-law, Betty Wenzloff of St. Clair Shores, Mich., and Georgia Sego of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; a cousin, Ollie (Ella) Bunch of Flatwoods; special friends Jeanette (Ed) Ramey, Samantha Ramey, Cara Broughton, Kristen Ramey, Larissa Reynolds, Jude Reynolds, Katrina Kerns, Ken "Black Cat" Sutfin, Larry "Wolf" Newman; and other cousins.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Miller Funeral Home by Pastor Bob Chaffin. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum in Ashland.
