Charles L. "Buddy" Riggsby - 1939-2009
Charles L. "Buddy" Riggsby, 70, of Ashland, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at his residence.
He was born March 27, 1939, in Ashland, the son of the late Charles A. and Mary Elizabeth Stewart Riggsby. He was retired superintendent of the water plant for the city of Ashland.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Ballad RIggsby; two sons, David Riggsby and his wife, Jeanie, of Lexington, and Chris RIggsby of Ashland; a brother, W. Stewart RIggsby of Knoxville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, Jackie Riggsby and Katie RIggsby, both of Lexington, and Courtney RIggsby of Ashland.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, July 10, 2009, at Miller Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles Bush. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
The family will receive friends after noon today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6100 Dutchman's Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284.
