Clarence Ethel Hardgrove, PhD., beloved wife of the late Charles Hardgrove, sister of the late Sue West and Eileen McCaffrey.
Dear aunt of Jack West of Coraopolis, Pa., Ellen Riffle of Point Pleasant, W.Va., Charle Downing of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tina Springer of Aurora, Colo., and Mark McCaffrey of San Anselmo, Calif., is survived by 11 loving great-nieces and nephews.
Professor Emeritus
Clarence Ethel Hardgrove, an internationally prominent specialist in mathematics education, was a Northern Illinois University professor in the Department of Mathematics from 1950 until her retirement in 1977.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Rose Hill Cemetery , Ashland, Ky.
