Daniel Lee Malik, 75, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away at Community Hospice Care Center on Thursday, April 19, 2018.
He was born on April 6, 1943 in Huntington, WV to the late Anthony and Virginia Shilot Malik. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Sue Malik.
He was a member of Boilermaker's Local 667 and served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Christian and hosted "Up Calvary's Hill" radio program on WGOH AM and WUGO FM in Grayson, KY for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jewell Thomas Malik of Ashland, KY; daughters Elisabeth Malik of Ashland, KY. and Abigail Malik of Lexington, KY.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel and will be officiated by Pastor Clell Lucas and Brother Jim Porter. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park with military rites by Kenova American Legion Post #93. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
