Donald Fitzer

ASHLAND - Donald Davis Fitzer, 77, of Ashland, died Saturday morning in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was born Jan. 4, 1934, in Ashland to the late Luke Fitzer and Mattie Mariea��Savage Fitzer Traugott.
Mr. Fitzer was retired from AKa��Steel after 38 years of service and was a charter member of 13th Street Baptist Church. He also attended Georgetown College anda��Marshall University.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Maxine Nolte Fitzer of Ashland; a daughter, Kimberly (Greg) Ratliff of Ashland; brothers, Fred (Arrine) Fitzer of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Mike (Teresa) Traugott of Ashland; grandchildren, Kristin Ratliff and Lauren Ratliff.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel by Pastor Bill Parker. Entombment will follow ata��Rosea��Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Avenue, Ashland KY 41101.
