Emily Louise Spurlock (1984-2010)
Emily Louise Spurlock, 25, of Ashland, Ky., died in King's Daughters Medical Center on Jan. 17, 2010, surrounded by her loving friends and family following a sudden illness.
She was born May 27, 1984, a daughter of Robert Bryan and Elizabeth Chamoun Spurlock, also of Ashland. She was a 2002 graduate of Fairview High School and a member of Grassland Community Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Bryson Elias Hale, and her fiancé, Ryan Hale; a sister, Landrea Spurlock; and a brother, Clint Spurlock, all of Ashland. Her maternal grandparents are Louise and Chafik Chamoun of Clarksdale, Miss. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Richard and Ruby Spurlock. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland with Pastor David Herndon officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions in memory of Emily Spurlock to Priscilla's Place, 1151 E. Broadway, Louisville, KY 40214.
