Erby Darrell Fosson, 86, of Ashland, passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his granddaughters residence, Thursday, November 29, 2018. He was born February 9, 1932 in Willard, KY the son of the late Erby Vernon and Lena VanHorn Fosson. He was retired from Armco Steel, a U. S. Army, Korean War veteran, a member of Poage Masonic Lodge, 325 F&AM and he was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Leva “Peggy” Fosson and a sister, Janice Beck. Survivors include two daughters, Shelia (Marty) Horton of Ashland and Berreda Griffith of Rush; one son, Erby V. (Debby) Fosson of Kitts Hill, OH; five grandchildren’ Audrey Fosson, Olivia Fosson, Anna (Randy) Smith, Allison (Roy) McCoy and M. J. Horton; four great grandchildren, Gracie McCoy, Xavier Smith, Charles “Q” Horton, IV and Jett Smith. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, December 3, 2018 at Miller Funeral Home by Pastor Brandon Depriest. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park with military services conducted by the Kenova American Legion Post 93. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
