Ricky Stapleton, 43, of Rush, Kentucky passed away on June 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. He was born on July 25, 1970 to Donald Gene and Joy Whitt Stapleton of Rush, Kentucky.
He attended the Adult Active Day and was a member of Hyland Heights Missionary Baptist Church, Catlettsburg, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents he is survived by 2 sisters Judy Ann Stapleton, Cheyenne, WY., and Roni Stapleton Quillen and husband Bob of Rush, Ky.; a niece Amanda Gail Quillen; a nephew Robert Matthew Quillen; Uncles, Luther Stapleton, Jr. (Glieda) of Elyria, OH, Leroy Stapleton (Patty) of Ashland, Ky., Leonard Earl Stapleton (Claudette) of Ashland, Ky., Randall Stapleton (Jackie) of Ashland, Ky., Colin Whitt (Jill) of Ashland, Ky., and Roy Whitt (Kathy), Fincastle, Va.; Aunts, Mae Louise Walker of Ashland, Ky., and Tammy Jo Fannin (Ronald Gene) of Roanoake, VA. He is also survived by various cousins and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel with Reverend Jeff Ferguson officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM.
