George William Renfroe, 89 of Ashland and widower of Anna Kretzer Renfroe, passed away Friday, November 18. 2016 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Bill was born July 27, 1927 Boyd County, Kentucky to the late Ernest Virgil and Vivian Robinson Renfroe.
Bill proudly served his country in the US Army. He later worked and retired from Armco Steel.
In addition to his parents and his wife Anna Kretzer Renfroe, he was preceded in death by a brother Ernest Virgil Renfroe Jr. and one sister Mary Lou Geyer.
Bill leaves behind two sons Tim Renfroe (Sharon) of Ashland and William Mark Renfroe of Petersburg, VA; one daughter Amy Williams (Dan) of Shadyside,Ohio; three sisters Delores Pennington (Elwood), Mollie Geyer, and Nancy White all of Ashland; four grandchildren Robert Timothy Renfroe, Haleigh Renfroe, Matthew Renfroe and Alexander Renfroe; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday November 21, 2016 at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood with ministers Bill Denk and Loreen Spillman officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Sunday November 20, 2016 from 6-8 and one hour before service on Monday.
