Hager Michael "Mike" Dickens (1957-2009)
Hager Michael "Mike" Dickens, 51, of Ashland, Ky., died Aug. 22, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 13, 1957, in Ashland, a son of Bonnie L. Bullion Donta and stepfather Ray A. Donta of Ashland and the late Hager Dickens. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Dickens Powell.
He was a disabled security officer, attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ashland and was a big supporter and enjoyed Russell JFL.
Additional survivors include sons Tyler Dickens and Zach Dickens of Flatwoods, Ky.; brothers Allan Ray (Virginia) Donta of Oldtown, Ky., and Joe Donta (fianceé Monica Pennington) of Burnaugh, Ky.; sister Rita (Trent) Steel of Raceland, Ky.; nephews Keith Henson, Clifford Duvall, Mark Bays, Anthony Donta and Rodney and Eric Powell; stepnephews Joe Virgin (Sissy) of Lexington, David Virgin (Sandra) of Oldtown and Dale Virgin (Tom Clayton) of Lexington; and a stepniece, Amy Williams (Mark) of Oldtown.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods by the Rev. Mark A. Kloha. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Three nephews will be pallbearers - Keith Henson, Clifford Duvall and Mark Bays.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 at the funeral home.
