Harold E. "Buddy" Johnson (1928-2009)
Harold E. "Buddy" Johnson, 80, of Westwood, husband of Nina Clevenger Johnson, died Wednesday evening in King's Daughters Medical Center.
Buddy was born June 18, 1929, in Boyd County, Ky., a son of the late Robert E. Lee and Kate Eunice Ross Johnson.
He was a member of Westwood Christian Church and was retired from Sheet Metal Workers Local 98.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by two grandsons, Harold Lee Johnson Jr. and Kevin Johnson; and a sister, Geraldine Hale.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 57 wonderful years, are two sons, Harold Lee Johnson and wife Barbara of Westwood, Ky., and Terry Johnson and wife Janet of Westwood, Ky.; three grandsons, Ronald Darrin Johnson and wife Kelli, Christopher Johnson and wife Amber and David Johnson and wife Choletta; two great-granddaughters, Taylor Nichole Johnson and Marissa Ann Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland by Pastor Dean Jackson. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and an hour before services at the funeral home.
