Ines Chaney, 81, of Ashland, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 18, 1930, in Elliott County, the daughter of the late Proctor and Lacey Johnson Pennington.
She was a former employee of Columbia Records.
She was also preceded in death by her husband W.L. "Bill" Chaney; a grandson, Brian Good; a brother, Larry Pennington; and a nephew, Doug Pennington.
Survivors include a son, William Chaney and wife Carol of Terre Haute, Ind.; two grandchildren, Brent Good of Washington, D.C., and Ian Chaney of Terre Haute; a sister-in-law, Lou Anna Pennington of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by Ron Trabandt, minister. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
The family will receive friends after 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
