Janet M. Cassity (1928-2010)
Janet M. Cassity, 81, of Catlettsburg, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at her residence. She was born Oct. 25, 1928, in Newton, Mass., to the late Gene and Teresa Buttaro Simone. She was a homemaker, a member of the Homemakers Club, a member of M.A.C. Club and of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters. She is survived by her husband, James Cassity; two daughters, Lisa Cassity of Catlettsburg and Teresa Shock (James) of Nitro, W.Va.; a son, James Scott Cassity of Gap Mills, W.Va.; a brother, James Simone of Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren, Mason Cassity and Chance Cassity; and two nieces, Teresa Connors of Virginia Beach, Va., and Sue Johnson of Tampa, Fla.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Rose Hill Mausoleum with the Rev. John Noe officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
There will be no visitation.
Miller Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
