Laura Estill Wheeler, 59, of Ashland, passed away March 6, 2015, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

She was born Feb. 29, 1956, in Pike County, to the late William Estill and Dorothy Robinson Gibson.


Laura was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Wheeler of Ashland; sons Cody Dye, Kyle Tussey and Kade Dye, all of Ashland; daughters Melissa Lynn Duncan of Ashland and Jesseca Brooke Dye of Ironton, Ohio; brothers Willie Gibson of Pikeville and Earl Gibson of Bean Station, Tenn.; sisters Patricia Kendrick and Vickie Nunemaker, both of Ashland; and a granddaughter, Nakeita Dye.

The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland and will be officiated by Steven Slone. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015, at the funeral home
