ASHLAND - Louella Burton Chaffins Moore, 88, of Ashland, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 15, 1925, a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Ethel Hensley Burton. She was the last survivor of eight children. She was also preceded in death by husbands George Leonard "Duck" Chaffins and Delbert C. Moore; a son, Darrell E. Chaffins; and a stepson, Scott Moore.
Louella was a homemaker and attended Pilgrim Holiness Church in Rush.
Survivors include a son, James R. (Sharon) Chaffins of Grayson; a daughter, Brenda (James) McCown of Rush; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and special friends Arnold and Linda Rye of Ashland.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by Brother Jim Wells and the Rev. Marvin Boggs. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Gideons International, 115 E. Madison St., Louisa, KY 41230.
