Margie Liew Brewer, 61 of Mount Vernon, Ind., died Sunday morning, Feb. 10, 2013, in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

She was born Oct. 23, 1951, in Anderson, Ind., the daughter of William and Mary (Turner) Griffey.

She married Bobby Jack Brewer on Aug. 2, 2005, in Anderson, Ind.

Margie had worked in military pay for the U.S. government until her retirement. She was an ordained minister with Interdenomination Gospel Missions. She did youth and children's ministry at Central Community Chapel Church of Christ Union in Anderson, Ind., for 18 years. She was also a member of Mount Vernon First Church of the Nazarene, where she was in charge of the children's ministry.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Jack; a stepson, Johnson D. Brewer of Marion, Ind.; nieces and nephews Cortney Burlison, Aaron Stewart, Kathy Matthews, David Mathley, Keith Mathley and Neal Mathley; four grandchildren, Carson, Bishop Scott Brewer and Logan and Johnathan Nabors; three sisters, Pauletta Mathley of Georgia, Wilma Nicolay of Indianapolis and Estina Thurman of Evansville; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at First Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon, Ind., by the Rev. Myers Hyman.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Ind.

A second funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Ashland First Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.

Stendeback Family Fumeral Home in Mount Vernon, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.
