Marshall LeMaster - 1926-2009
Marshall LeMaster, 83, of Ashland, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, died Thursday, July 23, 2009, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mr. LeMaster was born July 24, 1926, in Chandlerville, a son of the late Lonnie R. LeMaster and Zora Fitch LeMaster.
His wife, Banner Hayes LeMaster, survives.
He also was preceded in death by brothers, Azeia LeMaster, Forrest LeMaster and his wife, Ruth, Colsa LeMaster, Charles LeMaster and his wife, Christine, and Bryce LeMaster, whose wife, Fannie, survives in Wurtland; sisters Luda Preston and husband, Glance, Gladys Bayes and husband, Mitchell; and Alkie Bevins and husband, Aubrey.
He is retired from the Armco shipping department and was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church, Poage Masonic Lodge 325, Apperson Chapter 81, Everette Council 65, Ashland Commandery 28, Scottish Rite 32 Covington, El Hasa Temple, Eastern Star, Elks Lodge 350 and was a Kentucky Colonel and Kentucky Admiral.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Roger Lee LeMaster and his wife, Marsha, of Ashland; brothers Hobert LeMaster of Ashland, who was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene; a sister, Erelene Clay and her husband, Bill, of Grayson; grandchildren Sean Denver LeMaster and Angela Marie Stumbo, both of Ashland.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel with Dr. Ronnie Mayes and the Rev. Charles Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009, at the funeral home. Elks service will be at 3:30 p.m. and Masonic rites at 4 p.m.
