Martha Ellen Welch, 68, of Ashland, passed away May 13, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born Sept. 21, 1944, in Covington, to the late John Gilbert and Mildred Cremins Diesman.
She was also preceded in death by brothers John, Gilbert, Tom and Lawrence Diesman and sisters Mildred Shook, Mary Seyberth and Janet Chalk.
Martha was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a loving mother and homemaker.
She is survived by her loving husband, William T. "Bill" Welch Sr. of Ashland; a son, William Timothy Welch Jr. of Burlington; daughters Pamela Virgin and husband Rob of Argillite, Jeanne Paul and husband Steven of Melbourne and Becky Lewis and husband Michael of Ashland; grandchildren Jeffrey Gibson, Anthony Kyle Gibson, Connor Welch and McKenzie Welch; a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Russell; brothers Norman Diesman of Batavia, Ohio, Bill Diesman of Erlander and Robert Diesman of Highland Heights; and a sister, Rose Diesman of Bellevue.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 17 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church by Pastor Mark A. Kloha. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friend may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
