Mary Margaret Conley Distel, 68, wife of Ken Distel of Ashland, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
Mary was born Sept. 29, 1944, in Ashland, to the late Ira Newton Conley Jr. and Dollie May Conley.
She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She was a former Girl Scout troop leader and a member of Second Baptist Church in Ashland.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, William Paul Conley, John Elwood Conley and Denzel Estil Conley; and a sister, Delores Ann Welch.
Other survivors include two daughters, Melissa Kay Distel Wright and husband Jim of Bean Station, Tenn., and Melinda Sue Distel Stambaugh of Ashland; a sister, Ruth Ellen Morace of Hicksville, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Zachary James Wright and Serena Dawn Stambaugh; and a host of extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. today, March 16, 2013, at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Ed Caudill, with entombment after the service.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the chapel.
Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood is in charge of arrangements.
