ASHLAND - Mary Evelyn Nall, 91, of Ashland, passed away in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012.

She was born in Owensboro on Sept. 22, 1920, the daughter of the late James and Attie Ford Young.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Fred W. Nall, in 2010.

She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, where she played the piano for more than 45 years for their church services, Childrens' Choir, Bible School, Vespers and the singing group, Affirmation. She also played the handbells. She was a member of the Three Arts Club, the Southern Hills Garden Club, Garden Club of Kentucky, and one of her favorite accomplishments was when she played piano for the radio show "The Mary and Martha Show." She was an avid UK fan.

Surviving are daughters, Darlene Young Nall of Lexington, Sandra Nall Coburn of Orlando, Fla., and Patti Nall Sanford of Ashland. She is also survived by granddaughters, Torri Winstead and husband Michael Winstead Jr. of Wrightsville Beach, N.C., and Lynsey Elizabeth Coburn of Orlando. She is also survived by her precious pets, Natasha, Prissy and Ruby.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel with the Rev. Larry Sivis officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
