Mary Steel, 72, of Ashland, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mary was born July 11, 1941, in Rush, to the late Charles and Maggie Mosley Sexton.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Freedom Tabernacle Church in Webbville.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Bobby Dewayne Steel, of Ashland, and John Wayne Steel of Ashland; three daughters, Pamela Seward of Ashland, Barbara Ross of Ashland and Melody Gumm of Carter County; seven grandchildren, Allen Ray Steel, Joshua Ryan Steel, Brittney Steel, Erica Steel, Hayley Ross, Chipper Steel and Ariel Steel; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, in the chapel at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by Pastor Matthew Adams.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at the funeral home.
