Mary Sue Boggs Blair, 76, of Flatwoods, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, May 21, 2013, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell with her loving family at her side.
Susie was born Nov. 23, 1936, in Louisa, a daughter of the late Lon and Esta Sammons Boggs. She was a retired laborer for C&O and attended Moore Street Tabernacle. She loved people, travel, funny stories and laughter.
Susie is survived by her adoring husband of 17 years, Dan Blair; children Larry (Karin) Pelfrey of Berea, Kim (George) Johnson of Hanging Rock, Ohio, Kelli Felty of Ashland, Tim (Debbie) Blair of Ashland and Jimmy (Evelyn) Blair of Ashland; a son-in-law, Kenny Felty of Ashland; grandchildren David (Amber) Conley, Bobby (Tiffany) Conley, Kevin (Kristy) Felty, Kris (Ashlei) Felty, Ben Pelfrey, Jeremy Blair, Zac Blair, Phillip Blair and Nick Blair; great-grandchildren April, Brandon, Reagan, Aiden, Quinton, Ethan, Jensen, Kaleb, Jaylei and Kylie, who is due to arrive Aug. 1; a sister, Pat (Chuck) Speaks of Georgia; a sister-in-law, Brenda (Don) Dheel of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Garland "Whitey" Pelfrey, and brothers Ed Boggs, Earl Boggs and Joe Boggs.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. Final rest will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
