Maude Christine Caudill, 77, of Louisa, formerly of Ashland and Russell, passed away Saturday morning, May 25, 2013, in J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa.
Christine was born June 15, 1935, in Louisa, a daughter of the late Jay F. and Marie Burchett Preston. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Caudill; brothers Gerald Preston, John B. Preston, Stanley Eugene Preston, Will Aubrey Preston and Edward Leon Preston; and sisters Ruby Lee Preston, Gladys Amanda Troutman and Jean Carol Isaac.
She was a resident of Morning Pointe Ridge in Russell for many years. She retired as a secretary from the home office of Nationwide Insurance in Columbus. Mrs. Caudill was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her brothers, Jack W. Preston, and his wife, Dorothy, of Waynesville, Ohio, and Donald W. Preston of Dayton; sisters Helen V. Pack of Pataskala, Ohio, and Glenda S. O'Neal of Nicholasville; and many nieces and nephews she deeply loved.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel by Minister Willie Gene Hayes.
Visitation will be after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
