Missy Jordan - 1967-2007
Melissa "Missy" Dawn Jordan, 39, of Catlettsburg, Ky., departed this life Tuesday morning, May 22, 2007, with her friends and family at her side.
Missy was born Oct. 13, 1967, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of Jarrell Jordan and Regena Beach. Missy was a paramedic for Cabell County EMS and was a member of Cabell County Disaster Response Team. She was a nursing student at ACTC and a former hairstylist.
Her maternal grandparents, Carl and Garnett Webb, preceded her in death.
Missy is survived by her life partner, Larisa Murphey of Catlettsburg; her father and stepmother, Jarrell and Pat Jordan of Lakeland, Fla.; her mother and stepfather, Regena and John Beach of Flatwoods, Ky.; three sisters, Tabatha James of Louisville, Ky., Heather Stunbeck of Ironton, Ohio, and Sherie Branham of Boyd County, Ky.; and her paternal grandparents, Jerry and Dorothy Jordan of Westwood, Ky.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2007, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by Dr. Don Donahoe. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and an hour before services on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Missy's memory may be made to Community Hospice Care Center, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101 or the American Cancer Society, 4338 13th St., Ashland, KY 41101.
