FLATWOODS - Ruth Ann Fields, 41, of Flatwoods, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at her residence.
Ruth Ann was born Sept. 16, 1971, in Ashland.
Earlier in her life, she worked with computer software systems and earned an associate degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She enjoyed working on computers, smartphones and any kind of electronics. She attended New Beginnings Church in Chesapeake. Ruth Ann thoroughly enjoyed watching the UK Wildcats, amateur wrestling and was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, but most of all, she enjoyed being a mother and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Andrew and Ethel Markin Salley and W. "Ballard" Plina Fields.
She leaves behind her loving parents, Susie and Gerome Fields of Flatwoods; a son, Nicholas Lee Fields; a brother, Brian (Laura) Fields of Nicholasville; a special aunt, Sharon Scurlock of Flatwoods,; cousin Missy Scurlock of Flatwoods; three nieces, Bethany, Miranda and Gracie Fields, and one nephew, Micah Fields, all of Nicholasville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with words of comfort delivered by pastors Tom Jones and Thomas E. Jones. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at the funeral home.
