Shirley Yontz Maddox (1945-2009)
Shirley Yontz Maddox, 64, of Blaine Trace Road, Webbville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday evening May 27, 2009 in Kings Daughters medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Maddox was born February 19, 1945 in Boyd County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Holly and Hulda Bartley Yontz.
Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the Hitchens Gospel Mission Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years Eddie Lee Maddox; Six sisters, Bessie Yontz, Betty Yontz, Ann Whitt, Patty Ward, Glenna Buleson, and Mary Sue Yontz. Five Brothers; Bubby Yontz, Donald Yontz, Bucky Yontz, Gobel Yontz, and Allen Yontz.
Survivors include one son; John Maddox of Webbville, Kentucky. One brother; Herbert Yontz of Florida. Two sisters; Peggy Vopalensky of Nebraska and Rita Allen of North Carolina. Several nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009 in the chapel of the Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home in Sandy Hook with James McWain Officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Sunday and anytime until the service hour Monday at the funeral home. www.rosehillburialpark.net
