ASHLAND - Steven Earl Bowling, 57, of Ashland, died peacefully at his residence on Monday, July 1, 2013.
Steven was born Dec. 10, 1955, in Ashland, a son of the late Edsel Earl and Avangeline Click Bowling.
He was a retired minister of the Methodist faith and a former employee of National Mine Service Co. Steven was a former Boyd County court bailiff for Judge Sinnette and Judge Rice.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Allen Bowling and wife Melissa of Catlettsburg and Michael Lewis Bowling of Ashland; a stepgranddaughter, Amber Ashby; two brothers, Michael Bowling and wife Virginia of Westwood and Randall Keith Bowling and wife Carla of Ashland; a sister, Linda Bowling Dean and husband Matthew of Flatwoods; three nieces, Tracy Ferris and husband Brett, Chrissie Bowling and Stephanie Bowling; and a nephew, Matthew Dean.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
