Susan Yvette Stapleton Ison, 53 of Ashland passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Community Hospice Care Center.
Ms. Ison was born October 8, 1964 in Washington Court House, OH to Carma Beach Stapleton of Ashland and the late James Stapleton. She was employed by Ashland Independent Schools as a food service worker. Susan was a graduate of Paul Blazer High School and ACC (University of KY). Her hobbies included reading, puzzles, and crafts.
She is survived by her Mother, daughter, Jessica Ison of Ashland, fiancé, Jimmy James, step daughters, Ashlei Biel (Ryan) and Tiffany James, both of Casper, WY, three step grandchildren, siblings, Angela Stapleton of Ashland, Shari Melton (Bruce) of King, NC, , and Karen Craig of Washington Court House, OH, and James M. Stapleton (Clara) of Ashland. . Additional survivors include Tiffany Richardson, Alex Poe, Ashley Fontana, Zach Melton, Kaylee Poe, Diane Stapleton, Bob Beach, and mother-in-law, Midge James.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, niece, Emily Stapleton, nephew, Christopher Melton, aunt, Margaret Baker, uncle, Manford Beach, and father-in-law Ronald James.
Graveside Service at 2:00pm Thursday March 29, 2018 at Rose Hill Mausoleum Chapel. Pastor Frank Hulett will officiate.
Neal Funeral Home, Catlettsburg, in charge of arrangements.
