WHITE, Thelma Ruth (Yates) - of Davison, MI, age 97, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Chris Radcliffe officiating. A Graveside Service will be held 2 PM Friday, August 24, 2018 at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3801 13th Street, Ashland, KY 41102. The family will receive visitors 12-1 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Cora and Charles.
Thelma was born in Riceville, KY on July 15, 1921, daughter of the late Rev. Nimrod and Blanche (Neal) Yates. She married Alfred White on December 24, 1938 and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1979. Thelma loved playing cards and shopping, but most of all enjoyed being around her family.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Maupin; son-in-law, Donnie Hunt; daughter-in-law, Wanda White; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cora Catherine Hunt; son, Charles H. White and very special nephew, Clyde Hammonds.
