Thomas J. Akers, 80, of Ashland, died Saturday at his residence.
He was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Flatwoods. His wife, Anna Meade Akers, survives.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lazear Funeral Home. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park, with military services by Ceredo-Kenova American Legion Post 93.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to help with funeral services may be sent to Lazear Funeral Home, 1632 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
