Vada Kazee, 51 of Flatwoods, passed away July 1 in King's Daughters Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born Dec. 2, 1960, to Wanda George Waggoner and the late Alonzo Waggoner Jr.
Vada was a beloved mother and sister, devoted wife and loyal friend to many.
Survivors include her loving husband of 31 years, Ronald Kazee of Flatwoods; her mother, Wanda Waggoner of Greenup; a son, Kenneth Ray Kazee of Flatwoods; a daughter, Erin Renee Kazee of Pennsylvania; a brother, Steve Allen Waggoner of Flatwoods; and a sister, Suzan Nanette Ferguson of Greenup.
Vada thoroughly enjoyed life. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, lying by the pool, planting flowers, playing Scrabble and reading whenever possible. Vada loved her job as a RN working for Doctor Jain for 12- plus years. Her job as a nurse was very rewarding and she was passionate about her patients and keeping them in good hands.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods by Pastor Perry Young. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A dinner at Ironville Independent Baptist Church will follow services.
