Virginia Moyer

Virginia Ruth Stewart Moyer formerly of Ashland, Ky. passed away on June 28, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center in Naples, Florida. She was born in Catlettsburg, Ky. to the late Oscar L. and Elsie Howerton Stewart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert A. Moyer, Sr. in 1999, and siblings Edytha Chapman, Everett Stewart, Marcus Stewart, James O. Stewart and Dollie Jean Perry.
Virginia was a graduate of Catlettsburg High School and was an office manager for 35 years at Commerical Credit in Ashland. Shewas a member of Christ United Methodist Church while in Ashland, transferring membership to a church in Naples when she moved. She also taught piano lessons to students from Ashland, Ky. and Ironton, OH.
She is survived by her son, Robert A. Moyer, Jr. of Naples, Fl; grandchildren Robert Moyer III, of Naples, Fl. and Gwen Ward of Columbus, IN.; Great grandchildren Robert Moyer IV "Bo" (Stacha) Moyer of Naples, FL, and Christopher Dove of Columbus, IN.; siblings, Laveta Alley, John (Mary) Stewart and Jerrell Stewart. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel, and will be officiated by Chaplain Jimm Smedley with burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 on Thursday, July 3, 2014.
